For the past two Throw Back Thursdays, I had been posting only about male singers, so to change it up for today, I will be recalling all of your memories as this week’s Throw Back Thursday will celebrate K-Pop’s queen, Lee Hyori and her success with ‘Anystar.’
I remember watching ‘Anystar’ for the first time and absolutely falling in love. Out of all the ‘Any’ clips that Lee Hyori did (Anystar, Anymotion, Anyclub, etc.), Anystar was my favorite for multiple reasons. The song itself is just really great and nice to listen to – it makes me want to dance. Then you had Lee Jun Ki who was one of my obsessions back then and I just loved him in everything. The music video itself was so cool and interesting I can’t tell you how many times I actually watched it because I was just in love. ‘Anystar’ actually introduced me to 2NE1’s Park Bom and converted me into becoming her fan, which is why she has always been my bias in 2NE1 – it was because ‘Anystar’ started it all.
Watching the MV to ‘Anystar’ now, I actually wished there were more music videos like this. Music videos that had a drama storyline (and an interesting one at that), more appearances by other idols / actresses / actors, and features from idols. Nowadays, we don’t get to see much of that and it makes me sad.
Anyways, if you haven’t seen ‘Anystar’ at all, I really recommend that you watch it because the handsome Lee Jun Ki is in there and pre-surgery Park Bom also stars. Oh how I miss her face before she got surgery. –sigh-
