So C-Clown has finally returned! YAYY. *celebrates*
It’s been a while since we’ve last seen and heard of C-Clown. I’m glad that they’re back, because I have missed them so so much (especially my T.K). I have to be honest, I haven’t always been a fan of C-Clown’s stuff, although I have to say that their debut album was one of the most impressive and flawless debut albums from a debuting group ever. It’s sad how their albums after never really caught my attention, but I still love these boys.
Above is their most recent MV ‘Justice.’ While watching the MV, all I could think about was how the MV was so messy. I think I would have enjoyed it more if the scenes weren’t so flashy and quick – each scene lasted for less than half a second and then transitioned right into the next one. I didn’t like that quick transition, because it hurted my eyes and it was really confusing. We didn’t get enough time to see the one member’s beautiful face before going on to the next. Regarding screen time, it’s no surprise that we see more of Rome and Kang Jun. I always felt like they were the visuals of the group. The song itself isn’t bad, but I don’t find myself listening to it a lot in the future, just because it doesn’t really stand out a whole lot to me. The choreography, from what we saw in the MV, looks cool though. I’ve got to give them credit for that. My bias, T.K. who I actually found out about all the way back from early 2012, does not look good with that hairstyle. The black headband – that’s just a big no-no. I wish T.K. got a decent looking hairstyle for at least ONCE. I have never liked any of his hairstyles since their debut and that’s so sad! Please, just please, give T.K. a hairstyle that’ll suit him. Of course, T.K. still manages to look good with the horrendous hairstyles he’s given, but please, something more natural and easy-going on the eyes. Haha.
Then a few hours ago, the 2nd MV teaser to BTOB’s comeback ‘Beep Beep’ was released and the 21 second teaser shows a bunch of girls just showing their asses off. I’m not so sure as to what CUBE had in mind, I’m not so sure how they want us to react to this teaser. Did they think that fans were going to like this teaser showing asses and girls dancing or did they just want to do this to piss us off? I mean, I would be lying if I said I was excited for BTOB’s comeback, because the two MV teasers out so far, are quite disappointing. I want something like ‘WOW’; that era was golden for BTOB. ‘WOW’ managed to wow me (pun intended). But with ‘Beep Beep’, I just don’t know what to expect and that’s what worries me because I think BTOB is such a talented group who deserves all the recognition and love from everyone. It’s sad to see them falling behind other boy groups like EXO, B.A.P., and VIXX who debuted in the same year as them. BTOB hasn’t won any major awards so far yet, but they should and deserve to! The 2nd MV teaser makes me sad about the ever-changing K-Pop and how fast it’s moving along. I can understand those who complained about this MV teaser, because I think we all entered K-Pop, because there weren’t these images of asses and girls dancing all up in the party, but now in 2014, all boy groups are doing hip-pop songs while the girl groups are doing sexy and provocative concepts that are rated 19+. Like, where did the innocence and sugarcoating go? I’m not saying that K-Pop was ever wholly innocent from the start, but there for sure wasn’t any twerking (coughwassupcough) or nudity (coughphantomcough) in K-Pop back then as there is now. I know that things can’t always stay the same; change is inevitable, but I never foresaw K-Pop heading in this direction and I’m quite disappointed, because this isn’t what I expected and wanted of K-Pop. I miss the old times when there used to be legit, cool, and lovely drama MVs with interesting story lines and cool collaborations between groups. So much has changed and it makes me sad thinking about it…but I should stop with this mini-rant before I go off talking about gibberish and other things.
