They are finally back. SNSD, So Nyeo Shi Dae, Girls’ Generation. They recently released their comeback album ‘MR.MR’ and to my surprise, all the songs are easy to listen to!
I’m not so sure what I think and feel about the title track yet; I need to go back to listen to the song again, but what I do know for sure is that I love all the other tracks just by listening to it the first time. My favorites would specifically have to be ‘Goodbye’ and ‘Back Hug.’ Those songs were the easiest on my ears and just really beautiful to listen to. As I am writing this post, I’m listening to ‘Soul’ and a part of me feels like this song would have been better fit as the title track. It’s catchy, it’s energetic, very SNSD-like. I can imagine the girl group dancing to it with great charisma while displaying cool choreography. Shoot, even Tiffany is rapping. WUT IS THIS!? Haha. It’s very interesting…but like I mentioned, ‘Soul’ would have been better as the title track, but we’ll see what the live performances to ‘MR.MR.’ are like before I go off judging on how I feel about the actual title track.
As nice and easy it was to listen to this album, it’s not my favorite. My favorite album from SNSD would have to be their full-length album ‘I Got a Boy’ from last year and I’m saying this as a non-SNSD fan (I honestly don’t even care for them much). Every song on there was just so so good, especially ‘Romantic St.’ (such a cute song! EEK!).
