Our first look at Suzy and Nam Joo-hyuk’s drama ‘Start-Up’ has already been released (I feel like it hadn’t been that long since we first got news about it) and now my excitement for the drama has definitely ramped up.
In my first post about the drama, I voiced my excitement and anticipation for the drama because of the second leads, Kim Sun-ho and Kang Han-na. While things will most likely stay that way and they remain the primary reason as to why I will check out the drama, the teaser gives us glimpses of all our characters, including our leads Suzy and Nam Joo-hyuk. Everyone looks great and Suzy and Nam Joo-hyuk will definitely make a great visual couple (the same thing can be said about Kim Sun-ho and Kang Han-na). While I might not be the biggest fan of Suzy and Nam Joo-hyuk’s acting per se, I’ll give the first four episodes a try to gauge and see how I feel about it.
Just based off of watching the teaser, I sort of get Steve Jobs and Ted Talk vibes with the way that Suzy’s character was presenting in front of an audience (which makes total sense since her character, Seo Dal-mi, aims to become Korea’s Steve Jobs). It’ll be interesting to watch her interact with Nam Joo-hyuk’s character, Nam Do-san, the founder of his own company Samsan Tech who is also Dal-mi’s “cool first love.”
‘Start-up’ is scheduled to air on October 10 on tvN. Given the current situation at the moment in K-dramaland with dramas either being postponed or filming being cancelled due to COVID-19, let’s hope everyone remains safe and things are okay.
