OOF. The eye candy will be heavy in upcoming Korean movie ‘Midnight Runners’ starring Park Seo-joon and Kang Ha-neul. I never saw this coming and never in a million years ever thought this would be possible, but the bromance will be strong in this one and I’m definitely looking forward to it!
‘Midnight Runners’ will center around our two main actors playing as students at the Korean National Police University in an effort to become police officers. They end up getting involved in a kidnapping case who they were both eyewitnesses too. When all hope seems to be lost with the case and the only things the authorities investigating the case seems to be reaching are dead ends, Park Seo-joon and Kang Ha-neul decide to embark on an investigation of the case on their own (source).
The movie looks and sounds like it’ll be a lot of fun. The two actors will be playing troublesome and amateur characters who are in the pursuit of becoming police officers and are not quite there yet, but still go on to pretend to be like one anyways which should be a lost cause for fun and trouble! From the looks of it, it seems like the movie will be really fun and funny to watch and I’m excited to see the bromance in this movie! I really like both Park Seo-joon and Kang Ha-neul as actors; They’re both not only great at acting, but are also so handsome and beautiful to look at (double win!). I would have never imagined in a million years to ever see the two in a movie together so this movie will be one that I will definitely be keeping my eyes out for.
It’s a wish come true.
Speaking about Kang Ha-neul, it was announced that he’ll be enlisting in the army this year on September 11. I almost cried and bursted into tears upon finding out. It’s been so long since I’ve discovered Kang Ha-neul and have been a fan of his. I’ve watched many of his movies and dramas and fell in love with him even more while watching him on variety shows like Running Man. He’s such a bright, dorky, and clumsy guy in real life which is totally the opposite of the types of characters he plays in his movies and dramas. I love this contrast in expectations as well as ability to play different personas though and I’m really going to miss him when he’s gone for the next two years. It won’t be the same and I’m really sad that many more actors will be leaving along with Kang Ha-neul. I’m not sure how I’m gonna feel or do when most of my favorite actors leave for the army. I know it’s inevitable, but I just need a little bit more time to accept all of this and to prepare for it. Kang Ha-neul, please don’t go 😦
‘Midnight Runners’ will play in theaters starting August 9, 2017.
