Hello there~ *waves*
My name is Mary and I’m the author of MaryMeKpop! Here you can find almost everything you need that is K-drama and K-Pop related. I primarily post recaps and news of Korean dramas and movies, but will also occasionally post recaps of variety shows (mainly ‘Running Man’). I’m also a fan of K-Pop and Korean music in general so you’ll also sometimes see reviews of the latest news and music in K-Pop. Drawing inspiration from other popular blogs like Dramabeans and A Koala’s Playground, I decided to create a blog of my own where I can post my own thoughts and feelings about whatever it is that I’m watching or listening to. This is how I ended up creating this blog – Marymekpop (formerly known as K-Popcorn).
It’s been approximately about a decade (maybe more than a decade — it’s been that long) since I’ve been following the K-Entertainment world. The very first Korean artists and groups I came across that paved my way into K-Pop were Shinhwa, Rain/Bi, DBSK, BoA, Chae Yeon, Lee Hyori, and Super Junior. And after switching from group to group over the many years, I have concluded that my ultimate bias groups in all of K-pop are Highlight (formerly known as BEAST), BTS, and f(x). Meanwhile, my very first Korean dramas and movies included Stairway to Heaven, The Classic, Full House, My Sassy Girl, Windstruck, and the memorable My Lovely Samsoon.
