MY BABY!!!! MY BABY IS BAAAAACK!
Okay okay, I know, I know. I know I shouldn’t be calling a 31-year old grown man my baby, but Yoon Doojoon (member and leader of Highlight) has a very special place in my heart and he’s finally back from his military service so I’m just super happy and there’s no other way I can express my excitement.
The ‘Let’s Eat’ series actor was discharged from his military service earlier this month in April. His military draft was actually a bit sad with just bad timing. He was called to serve right as he was still filming ‘Let’s Eat 3’ back in 2018 (coincidentally, his character in the drama also enlisted in the military) so things felt too good to be true. I just remember being so extremely sad and heartbroken upon learning about the news. Like I mentioned in my then post, Highlight is my first ultimate boy group and still is my bias group so it was painful to watch Doojoon leave and watch him leave so abruptly. He didn’t have much time to spend with his family and friends before he had to go. It was just so sad the way that he left.
However, I don’t have to be sad any longer as the handsome idol has finally been discharged from military service. There are some celebrities whose military service seems to fly by fast (like Kang Ha-neul’s!!). But there are celebrities like Doojoon whose military service felt like foreverrrr. Maybe it’s because it felt like I was counting down the months and days until his discharge. His service felt soooo long I actually thought he was being discharged last year in 2019 until I checked and discovered that he was being released in 2020. Thankfully, he came back healthy, fine, and scandal-free. Doojoon still looks as great and amazing and handsome as he did before he left.
I have missed Doojoon so dearly much the last 2 years and I’m so glad that he’s back with activities under his belt. Included are some photos from the photoshoot he had with W Korea. Additionally, Doojoon has been confirmed for tvN’s variety show ‘4 Wheeled Restaurant’ as one of the new cast members so the talented actor is keeping himself busy right out of the water. I’m loving it!

A lot has happened within the last two years since Doojoon’s enlistment, including the enlistment of other Highlight members as well as the loss of a Highlight member. Regardless, I’m just glad to see my Doojoon back healthy and hopefully happy. He deserves all good things in this world and I can’t wait to see more of him in the future. I also can’t wait for the day my four Highlight members are reunited and hopefully – hopefully – come back with some kind of song or video. Until then, I will continue to support my Highlight boys with their individual activities.
